Today’s nursing
homes are an integral part of the rapidly changing world of health
care. Their focus is firmly centered on rehabilitation services
following hospital stays and complex medical procedures; interventions
to help residents regain their independence so they can return home
and resume traditional day-to-day activities; and helping individuals
with chronic illnesses achieve their full potential and enjoy fulfilling,
stimulating lives.
Trinity Continuing Care Services’ 14 skilled nursing centers draw
on the power and knowledge of our organization’s 45 hospitals, approximately
8,000 physicians, and other support services to provide an environment
that combines hospitality with the latest breakthroughs in medical
technology. Thanks to our comprehensive health care network, we
draw upon a wealth of resources to meet the needs of individuals
who otherwise might face prolonged and costly hospital stays.
The rehabilitation
focus in our nursing homes goes well beyond restoring physical functions.
The goal is to encourage and assist residents in regaining their
full independence and confidence. Fully one-third of our skilled
nursing residents are rehabilitated and return to fulfilling lives
in their own homes.
Of course, nursing
homes also continue to serve the needs of older adults who require
the long-term oversight of a comprehensive team of health care professionals.
For these residents, companionship with staff members, volunteers
and other residents, social activities that promote interaction
and communication, and confidence in the quality of care they receive
creates a warm, inviting and compassionate residential setting.
